How to Apply for CCRS Recruitment 2026

Step 1: Download the Application Form
- Visit the official CCRS website
- Download the prescribed application format corresponding to the post you are applying for:
- Annexure-I: Social Worker
- Annexure-II: Upper Division Clerk (UDC)
- Annexure-III: Lower Division Clerk (LDC)
Step 2: Fill in the Application Form
- Print the application form and complete all required fields clearly using running handwriting.
- Paste a recent passport-size color photograph in the designated space. Do not staple or get the photograph attested. Unsigned forms or missing photos will lead to rejection.
Step 3: Pay the Application Fee (Demand Draft)
- Obtain an offline Demand Draft (DD) for ₹300 drawn in favor of “Central Council for Research in Siddha”, payable at Chennai.
- On the back side of the Demand Draft, clearly write:

CCRS Exam Pattern
Exam patterns for CCRS are provided below.
1. Initial Screening & Shortlisting
- Applications received by Speed Post will be screened for completeness, requisite educational qualifications, experience, and age eligibility.
- Shortlisted candidates will receive official call letters by Speed Post and Email.
2. Written Examination
- Location: Held exclusively at Central Council for Research in Siddha (CCRS), HQ, Tambaram Sanatorium, Chennai – 600047.
- Structure: Consists of objective-type questions covering General Knowledge and Subject-Specific topics (100 total marks).
- Travel Allowance: No TA/DA will be paid to candidates for attending the examination.
3. Skill / Typing Test (For Lower Division Clerk – LDC Only)
- Nature: Mandatory and Qualifying in nature.
- Mode: Computer-based typing speed evaluation:
- English: 35 w.p.m. (10,500 KDPH) OR
- Hindi / Tamil: 30 w.p.m. (9,000 KDPH)
- Language Choice: Candidates can choose English, Hindi, or Tamil. (Default is English if no medium is selected).
4. Final Merit List & Document Verification
- Social Worker & UDC: Final merit and selection list are prepared directly based on marks obtained in the Written Test.
- LDC: Only candidates who qualify the Skill/Typing test are considered for the final merit list, which is drawn strictly based on Written Test marks.
- Selected candidates will undergo document verification before appointment.
Note: Selected candidates carry All India Service Liability and can be posted at CCRS headquarters or any of its peripheral research units across India.
