Newcastle University PhD Programs Overview of Project:

Raw pet food is becoming more popular, but its effects on vets and patients are unknown. This PhD study will examine how raw diets can spread Salmonella, Campylobacter, and E. coli to clinical settings.

Your Role:

• Evaluate the dangers of raw-feeding dogs for veterinarians and patients.
• * Create evidence-based veterinarian biosecurity protocols.
• * Conduct epidemiological research and analyse food, faeces, and environmental pathogens.
• * Observe clinical procedures to determine transmission paths.

* Full tuition coverage

* Minimum annual living allowance of £19,237 (tax-free)

* 3-year project duration

Clinical Environment PhD Programs Eligibility:**

1. Requires a 2:1 honours degree in biological/microbiological sciences or a comparable field.
2. Clinical qualifications (veterinary surgery/nursing) are preferred but not required.
3. English proficiency: IELTS score of 6.5 overall and 5.5 in all sub-skills (if applicable).
