Are you a passionate molecular ecologist looking to change biodiversity monitoring?

UCL Biosciences offers a unique chance to conduct revolutionary terrestrial biodiversity tracking research utilising airborne environmental DNA (eDNA).

This is your chance to lead cutting-edge research, work with renowned universities, and impact conservation.

Join our interdisciplinary team to solve these intriguing challenges:

• * Create and improve a sampling array for airborne eDNA.
• * Validate models of airborne particle dispersal with experts from the National Physical Laboratory.
• * Test this system in national nature reserves and compare it to traditional survey methods.
• * Analyse data to understand how airborne eDNA enhances landscape-scale connectivity. Working with Natural England, verify this technology meets conservation needs.

For consideration:

• * Have or be submitting a PhD in a relevant discipline. Have considerable ecological/environmental genetics or eDNA research experience.
• * Master eDNA analysis lab procedures, Python, and ecological statistics.
• * Be passionate about habitat connection and environmental policy.
