PhD Programs Describe the project
A PhD studentship is available at Edinburgh University for the MEGA-PTO project, which pioneers ocean wave energy harvesting.
The goal of EU-funded MEGA-PTO is an innovative and scalable wave energy capturing system. Modularity simplifies manufacture, transport, installation, and maintenance. Additionally, the project uses circular economy ideas to reduce waste and maximize resource efficiency.
PhD students participate in:
- Create MEGA-PTO power converter modules.
- Module testing at Edinburgh University and RWTH Aachen, Germany.
- Working with CGEN Engineering, SSSA, Cheros, TU Crete, and WavEC.
I am contributing to wave energy supply chain analysis and circular economy studies.
This studentship is excellent for the following:
