NCRA–TIFR Exam Pattern

Exam patterns for NCRA–TIFR are provided below.

Stage 1: Initial Screening & Shortlisting

  • Application Review: Applications are screened based on essential qualifications, age limit, and required experience.
  • Restriction Criteria: If the number of eligible applications is large, the Centre reserves the right to restrict candidate numbers using higher criteria (e.g., higher percentage in basic qualification, additional years of experience).

Stage 2: Written Examination / Skill Test

  • Primary Screening Test: Depending on the post and applicant volume, NCRA may conduct one or more Written Tests, Online Tests, or Skill Tests.
  • Primary Merit List: Performance in the preliminary test is used to prepare a primary merit list for further shortlisting (this primary list is not the final selection list).

Stage 3: Final Written Test / Personal Interview

  • Shortlisted candidates from the primary stage undergo the final evaluation round, which may include a Final Written Exam and/or a Personal Interview conducted by the Selection Committee.

Stage 4: Document Verification & Final Selection

  • Document Verification: Selected candidates must produce original certificates (educational, age proof, experience, category certificates, wireman license, etc.) for verification.
  • Final Merit List: Candidates scoring the highest marks in the final evaluation stage who satisfy all eligibility criteria and verification checks will be selected for appointment.

Note: Merely fulfilling the essential/desirable qualifications does not automatically guarantee a call for the written test or interview. Canvassing in any form leads to immediate disqualification.
