NCR RRC Exam Pattern
Exam patterns for NCR RRC are provided below.
1. Merit List Calculation
- Equal Weightage Formula: The merit list is prepared by taking the average of percentage marks obtained by candidates in both Class 10th (Matriculation) and ITI examinations, giving 50% weightage to each.
- Class 10th Marks: Calculated using the total marks of all subjects listed in the mark sheet (not just “best of five”).
- ITI Marks: Calculated from the consolidated statement of marks across all semesters in the applied trade.
2. Tie-Breaking Criteria
If two or more candidates secure the same average percentage marks:
- Older Age: The candidate higher in age will be preferred.
- Earlier Passing Date: If the date of birth is also the same, the candidate who passed the Class 10th exam earlier will be placed higher in merit.
3. Document Verification (DV)
- Candidates shortlisted from the merit list will be called for Document Verification up to 1.5 times the number of notified slots.
- Shortlisted applicants must produce original certificates (Class 10th mark sheet, ITI certificate, Caste/EWS certificate, photo ID, etc.) along with 2 self-attested photocopies.
4. Medical Fitness
- Candidates selected for Document Verification must submit a prescribed Medical Fitness Certificate (signed by a Government-authorized Gazetted Doctor, not below the rank of Assistant Surgeon).
