RPSC Lecturer Exam Pattern

Exam patterns for RPSC Lecturer are provided below.

1. Examination Scheme & Evaluation Rules

  • Total Marks: The competitive examination carries a total of 450 marks.
  • Structure: The exam is divided into two papers: Paper-I and Paper-II.
  • Question Type: All questions in both papers are Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) with a 5-option format.
  • Negative Marking: Negative marking is applicable for incorrect answers. For every wrong answer or if multiple options are marked, 1/3rd of the marks assigned to that question will be deducted.
  • OMR Option 5 Rule: Every question has 5 options. If you choose not to attempt a question, you must darken the 5th circle. Leaving all 5 circles blank will result in a 1/3rd mark deduction for that question. Any candidate who leaves more than 10% of the total questions completely blank (no circles darkened at all) will be disqualified.

  • Concessions/relaxations on passing thresholds are also applicable to Ex-Servicemen and Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PH) as per specific state rules.

📑 4. Final Stages of Selection

  1. Merit List Compilation: A provisional merit list is prepared strictly based on the aggregate marks scored across both written papers. If necessary, RPSC reserves the right to use scaling, moderation, or normalization methods during the evaluation of answer sheets.

They will be required to produce original documents (including academic certificates, RCI registration proof, category/caste certificates, character certificates, etc.) for eligibility vetting.
