The UCL Cancer Institute is a major cancer research centre at University College London. The Institute employs approximately 400 skilled scientists to translate research into safer, more effective cancer treatments.
Regarding Position
A new post-doctoral research fellow is needed for the UCL CAR-T program under Prof. Claire Roddie and Prof. Richard Jenner’s Regulatory Genomics lab.
- UCL CAR Translation manipulates T-cells for medicinal purposes.
This position studies biological factors affecting CAR-T cell efficacy, toxicity, and persistence in systemic and brain malignancies. Better treatment outcomes are sought by improving CAR designs.
Genomics Regulation Lab
Genomic, bioinformatic, molecular, and biochemical methods are used at the Regulatory Genomics lab to study how transcription factors, chromatin modifiers, and RNA binding proteins influence cell development.
In 15 years, the lab has found essential T cell differentiation pathways. Currently, the team includes the principal investigator, three postdocs, and four PhD students.
UCL Cancer Institute Research Fellow Duties
Advanced technology will be used to conduct experiments and analyse data on clinical trial CAR treatments by the research fellow.
